Changelog

All notable changes to Bootswatch for VS Code are listed here. The format follows Keep a Changelog.

1.0.0 - 2026-10-19

First release.

Added

• All 26 Bootswatch 5.3.8 themes as VS Code color themes: Brite, Cerulean, Cosmo, Cyborg, Darkly, Flatly, Journal, Litera, Lumen, Lux, Materia, Minty, Morph, Pulse, Quartz, Sandstone, Simplex, Sketchy, Slate, Solar, Spacelab, Superhero, United, Vapor, Yeti and Zephyr.
• Every theme keeps its Bootswatch mode: light themes stay light, dark themes stay dark.
• Code text meets WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1) against the editor background. Comments stay at 4:1 or better, and muted UI text at 3:1 or better.

Changed

• Quartz uses darker, hand-picked surfaces so it reads well in an editor.
• Panel text is readable in every theme.
• Terminal white is readable on light themes.
